Update...update!
Red Sox 19-12
Well, I guess its time for a bit of a real update. Graduation has come and gone and for most people, summer has begun. I still have about a month of teaching left before I'm off the hook, but I only have one more day scheduled at this point. I was able to hang out with Nate, Karen, Katie, Matt, and Monica a lot before having to work my million hours on the weekend. Good times, and life as I have known it in Marquette has come to an end. "Everything will be different..."
My great grandma passed away on Thursday. She was 98 years old. I don't feel as sad as I should (I did grow up with her my whole life), but I think that's only because she had become a burden on my family, who is already stressed out taking care of my uncle and grandpa. One less thing for them to worry about. She was creamated (sp?) and all gatherings, church, cemetary, family will be this weekend. She knew more people than I may ever know, but I guess when you live 98 years you accumulate a lot of friends. I don't know how many will come to Rogers City for the funeral, but I'm sure I won't know many of them. Walmart was nice enough to let me have bereavement pay for Saturday and Sunday, so I won't go belly up with money either. So that's this weekend coming up.
The weekend after that will bring Karen and Nate's wedding. I still have many questions about that adventure, will I get lost? can I find a last minute date? how will it go? Still should be a good time, and maybe a final send off for all of the people that I have known.
Quick note to plug lost. Wow. This show is amazing. I couldn't believe the last episode. I will have to download the remainders now that Karen is gone, and since I'll be out of town so much, hard telling when I'll get to watch them. Sarah and I caught up last night, so that's nice, as least having one person up to date with me in Marquette.
And on to today's big news...I spent 200 dollars on TICKETS! The three day Minnesota trip is almost ready. Katie and Sarah will be joining me, and I STILL HAVE ONE MORE SPOT OPEN. I ORDERED 4 TICKETS, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED LET ME KNOW...maybe I'll hold a little raffle or something. Haha! Here's the highlight...At Wednesday's game we will be sitting right here...
The dates for the trip are Monday 12th of June leaving at 11pm, Tuesday 13th arrive in Wisconsin, pick up Katie, drive to Minnesota, get hotel, arrive early for batting practice at stadium, watch game 800p, Wednesday 14th Mall of America, followed by 800p baseball game, Thursday 15th, leave for Wisconsin, head to Marquette! I should note that as we leave the state of Wisconsin, I should stop orgasming from seeing the Red Sox play.
All for now! See ya!
