Well, long time no post...tons has happened, and tons more to go, but tonight's big update is that...I am a daddy! Surprisingly, its not to guppy babies, its to my Convict Cichlids!!!

I was going to scold my fish for fighting (two of the convicts and my yellow African), but when I got up I noticed that they had a big pile of "poop" in the corner. Upon examination, there were about 20-30 little spermie looking guys. They are soooo small, but its whats referred to as "fry". They are really teenie, almost in a carmel apple shape. Small little tails and a little bubble on the head. Feel free and stop by if you want any. I also found out that they are fairly common, so if anyone wants them when they grow up, let me know. (They are pretty darn cute when they are really small).

So in removing the other fish from the tank (I left the catfish and the pleco in the tank), they gave me quite the struggle. I ripped the damn tank apart and maybe hurt a few babies in the process, but the fish did not want to move. So now again I have two tanks with Cichlids, one with guppies, one with goldfish, one with bettas, hermit crabs and of course Bijou. Jesus. 7 tanks with things. Wowsa.

Welcome back to the FINAL edition of the The All New Dave Matthews Band Challenge! Yes, you heard me right, this is the FINAL version of the DMB Challenge. It was fun working on it, and it lasted well over a month. I reached over 400 bands, which is nothing to be ashamed about. In fact, subtracting Dave Matthews I reached 400 exactly. True there are more, and yes, I probably could have stretched it another day or two, but the time it was taking me to create 11-13 bands a day (remember I used no periphials all along) was just too much, and I don't have the time for it. Now as one person whom I am chatting with already mentioned to me, "Will you still have a daily update?" I'll try my best, as the DMB challenge really has helped me make this part of my routine.

I guess that's it for today. Lindsay got two calls so far for interviews. In other news, RD interviews start Thursday, so I take it that means I probably won't get asked for an interview. I wasn't sure if I would get an interview or not, as I know the position is fairly hard to even get an interview for. Oh well. Life goes on!

Well, I'm about to shit myself as I'm quickly reaching 400 bands on this list. It surprises me, as I wanted to take 500 as a goal for myself. We'll see how much farther it goes. Today was a rare day where I could think of 10 bands easily, but man some days are killer. Last night was awesome, as Clue rocked. I ended up winning with six paintings on two successful robberies. (If you don't know how to play, you are missing out) Nate took second with five paintings, not too shabby for a newbie. FDM was frustrated and didn't do so well. Lindsay and Karen seemed to enjoy themselves and did fairly well. Joe Yang also stopped by. Tonight is work day and maybe we will finish our dual puzzles. We have been doing some sweet ass puzzles lately. We did two Clue puzzles where you read a 12 page story then put them together to solve the mystery. The current one we have is called E is for Expresso, and has two puzzles mixed in one box. One is the room before the murder, the other is the police scene afterwards. It has a five page story that accompanies it also. I also have a full dinner mystery to play out, complete with invitations, character biographies and such. I was thinking it would be the perfect thing to kick off our trip to Wisconsin with, but it depends on how many people go. Let me know if you have any feedback on that one. See ya!

Well last night was pretty scary. After watching movies at Cory and Anyas, I felt a sharp pang and threw Lindsay down off of me. I tried to walk it off, but it eventually made me lay on the floor. I fear that I may have had some form of a mild heart attack or stroke or something. If I still feel odd I might have to get this looked at as well. Marco stopped over today and we played dance dance. I did one song before my head was just pounding and I had to quit. Lindsay and him played the Konamix mix disc, while I looked online for something that's been bugging me. Oh well. Tonight at midnight is supposed to be Clue the Museum Caper. Lindsay did really well it sounds at her selection workshop. I would be surprised at this point if she didn't get a job, especially with 8 openings for an AP and her applying for both. The AP position would be better for our relationship I think as well, since she would get weekends off. If I end up downstate, she would be able to visit me more often. Oh well, who knows what will happen, but here's to hoping!!

Well, the Mrs., is off to RA/AP/CA selection workshops. I wish her the best of luck. It was the most professional I've ever seen her look. Very yummy. Very cute. I told her I was so proud of her to be applying. Sniffle. She's the best. In other news, there was much confusion last night amongst everyone...even those that didn't know they were part of it. At first a few of us thought that Nate and Karen broke up. Then a bunch of people were doing their best to get under my skin. They succeeded. I had an IM heart to heart with Katie, and then cried quite a bit. Lots of homework to do this weekend. I also was planning a scary movie night tonight, but with Karen and Monica going to see "Passion", Lindsay having to get up early and Katie being busy, we'll see if that goes down or not. Its ok if not...as I'm really looking forward to the Wisconsin trip. I have quite a few tricks up my sleeve. I also have a murder mystery we could do if we have a relatively close number of guys and gals. We'll see. I'm tired. Sleep good tonight. Later player.

Well yesterday was all I could hope for and more! In easily one of the most romantic days of my life, I went in full suit to the airport to pick up sweetie from the airport. It was fun. I hadn't waited for anyone at an airport before, so it was a bit of a fun time. Had plenty of time to wait as the plane was delayed an hour. Karen and I got a trip to the snackbar, stale Nachos and a Coke...just perfect. After sitting down again...the first person through the gates was...Lindsay. It was great...she dropped her bags and gave me a big hug and kiss. I had made 3 flowers, one for Monica, one for Anya, and one for Lindsay. Anya got a red origami lily for love, Monica got a green lily for health and happiness, and Lindsay got a purple one for its her favorite color. I helped them get their luggage into my car and drove them back to my apartment. After unpacking stuff at Lindsay's she showed me the first of three presents for me. It was a necklace with our names painted on a grain of rice, it was really cute. She then gave me my second present a spongebob pressed penny. Its pretty cool and I'm going to keep it in my wallet. She was hungry...but I coudln't bring her to the apartment, which I will get to in a minute. So for the second time in my life I ate at McDonald's in full suit. Upon coming home, I let Lindsay go up the stairs first. There was another origami flower on the door with instructions for her. Upon entering there were two more on the floor forming a trail. Another was on the door to the bedroom, which instructed her to wait with her eyes closed. I don't need to go into details on what all the flowers said, but when she entered the bedroom with the candles burning, and the music playing, seeing the decorations I had set up along with our "exotic scenery" as she put it, I could tell she was moved. She cried on the bed, and it was touching. What followed was nothing short of the best night of my life. So happy to have my sweetie back!!!!

Tonight should be interesting. I have so much I wanna get done before Lindsay returns...I got a little something up my sleeve...we'll see how it goes. Hehe. She is supposed to call tonight...then I can really put the plan into action!

Turned in my RD application today. Dave Bonsall gave me the nicest compliment when I went to pick up my letter from him. "You're more than qualified, not let's get you hired." Talk about a nice guy. Here's an interesting scenario though...let's say that I get an RD job and Lindsay gets an RA job (which is a million times more likely than me getting a job). Now let's say Lindsay is hired into Halverson for instance and I get a job as the Halverson RD...I would be here boss. Unfortunately this would mean that dating is out. I wouldn't be able to date an RA while I was the RD of that hall, it would never fly with the staff, students, housing etc. Shit the brick Batman. My plan to stay near Lindsay for a few years could backfire. But if you say that there is a 1/100 chance i get a job (3 jobs about 300 applicants) and Lindsay has a 1/3 chance of getting a job (20-30 jobs and 60-90 applicants) that means we are already down to about a 1 in 300 chance we are both hired or something like that. Then if you figure there are 3 halls which i could work in we are down to about 1/900, and the fact that Lindsay could work in one of 9 halls, we are down to literally 1 in thousands of chance here. I'm sure my math is off, but I'm only trying to prove two points here...one is that it is highly unlikely I will even get a job and two is that its the proverbial one in a million that I would end up with Lindsay.

Got another call from sweets last night. I really enjoy that she calls so often...i'm going through major withdrawals. They are going to Disney and other places before they come home on Friday. It must be nice to go somewhere far like that. I'm jealous that i'm not with her not cause I give three fifths of a rat's ass about Florida. I was wish I could do everything with her. They also went to a water park which really bummed me out, and I guess it was noticeable as she thought I wasn't ok...I just wish they had saved the water park experience for Wisconsin, it was the one thing I wanted to do before I left. I mean we will still go and it will be different as I will be there, but now it will be Lindsay's second water park experience since she was little. And I'm sure now she will try extra hard to go out of her way to make it extra special to me. I just wish of the 1,000,000 things in Florida they would have left the water park experience for me. Okay...making myself sad...I need to stop for today.

Wow, three weeks already down...hard to believe...that's hard for me to believe. That's...lets see...210+21+1=232 bands so far. damn. I don't know how far I'll push this, but as of now I'm still coming up with bands that are either better or worse than DMB. Keep in mind I have a mental list stockpiled of bands that are too close to call so I've left them off for now. Since my main goal is a list of bands, someday, somehow they will end up on the list.
