The Wonderful World of Cody #4 "Goonies Characters"

Thank all of you who replied to the third poll. I'm having fun with this, and hope we can increase our number of correspondents.

In an effort to make Puffy happy, and to curb cheating, I employed someone (Lindsay) to create a new system for me. Click on post a comment instead of reading the comments. NOW YOU WON'T HAVE TO SEE THE OTHER ANSWERS FIRST!

3 points- Which actor portrayed Batman in the 1966 film classic based on the hit TV show of the day? Adam West
4 points- In Batman and Robin, 1997, which great villian was wasted as a fricken chauffeur for Poison Ivy? Bane (yes...the guy that broke Batman's bat in the comic...is a fucking chauffeur...sigh.
5 points- What was the name of the Joker's sidekick in Batman, 1989? "And _______ remember, you are my number one guy." Bob!

Chad-That's a lot of snow! I'm with ya, although I think that you guys probably get more than me.

Joe Yang was in town this weekend. Only saw him for a second though.

FDM is back in town...planning his first ever Hudson Film Festival

Did our second murder mystery of the year last night, amazingly I was the killer! AGAIN! Karen beat me in poker though. Still second isn't that bad.

Have Fun!

The Wonderful World of Cody #3 "Batman On Screen"

Once again, I would like to thank all of you who replied to the second poll. I really see this as a fun way to communicate with everyone. We had six people respond, which is pretty good considering many people are just going back to school from winter break. Also, Puffy again brought up a point about cheating, but the idea is that you have your answers down in your mind or on paper before you even hit respond. That way, you won't cheat...if you have a strong conscience.

I've been watching movies with Lindsay nonstop lately it seems while she's off from school. In the past two weeks we've watched The Wizard of Oz, The Fellowship of the Ring (extended), The Two Towers (extended), The Return of the King (extended), A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, The Return of the Jedi, Gettysburg, Mixed Nuts, Made, Dead Poets Society, and probably a few more I forgot to mention. We still have Tombstone, Gods and Generals, and the newly purchased X-Files season one to watch.

In other news, I purchased Resident Evil 4 a few days back for GameCube. No word on how it is yet, as I'm in Metroid Prime 2 up to my neck.

The correct answers for last week were as follows-
1 point- What is the correct method for killing (most) enemies in Super Mario Bros.? (without firepower) stomping on da heads
2 points- How many worlds were there in Super Mario Bros.? (overall worlds, not the -1, -2, etc.) the big number 8
3 points- What villian was waiting for you at the end of the game? (he has since become just as popular as Mario it seems) Bowser is what I was looking for, but King Koopa is fine too. But not Koopa alone
4 points- Describe which evil baddie was called Latiku? What did he look like and what did he do? the little guy who threw spiney's off his cloud on you.
5 points- Most people have never been in the minus (-) worlds. How does one get there AND what are they? you break the 2nd and 3rd blocks in world 1-2 next to the pipe to return up to the castle, then you run and try to walk through the wall to the right. The minus worlds are a series of waterworlds that no one has ever found and end for.

Scoring thus far is as follows-
Abelman 25 (the closest answer I received for this question)
Greg 16 (just couldn't give ya that 5 point question...close)
Monica 16 (also just couldn't give ya the 5 pointer)
Katie 13
Chad 7
Amy 6
Puffy 6
Sara 3

On to this weeks quiz- and remember...no cheating off of other answers...respond when you think you know the answers. I'll give you till Jan. 19th to reply.

Have fun and remember no cheating!

Wonderful World of Cody #2 Super Mario Brothers

Well for starters, I would like to thank all of you who replied to my stupid poll...as I promised...I'll update today. We had seven people respond, which is pretty good considering many people I invited are home from winter break from school. Also, Puffy brought up a point about cheating, but that didn't seem to be the case this week, so we'll keep it going and hopefully all of you will stay nice and honest. In case anyone was wondering, I had a great holiday (finally) at home and at Lindsays. Got everything on my list, sans one movie, and more...plus a lot of cash. One of the best hauls in years. Best two were probably the Original Trilogy DVD set and Metroid Prime II Echoes which I started playing last night.

The correct answers for last week were as follows-

1 point-What state were Dorothy and Toto from? Kansas
2 points-What killed the wicked witch? (not the one that had a house on her) Water
3 points-What was the actual name of the "good witch"? Glinda
4 points-What were the names of the wicked witch's palace guards? Winkies
5 points-What is the name of the deleted dance sequence from the movie "The Wizard of Oz"? It took the longest of any scene to film, and it was thrown out, only to be seen on special edition DVD's, internet sites, or other random places. The Jitterbug

Scoring thus far is as follows-
Abelman 15
Amy 6
Greg 6
Katie 6
Monica 6
Puffy 6
Chad 3

Additional Comments
Chad-Have yet to watch the Original Trilogy, but will in the next coming days. I have watched the whole 11 hours of Lord of the Rings twice in the last three weeks, but no never in one setting...that would be insane...insanely fun!

Katie-Good to hear your holiday went well, or as well as can be expected for living in Wisco--I can't even say the word...ewww. Glad to have you back up North. We need to get some BG soon. Did you get your SNL game for Christmas? We need to play that as well.

Monica-Both of those movies look interesting. Wanting to see Fockers for a while now, but who knows if I'll get to it. Hope all goes well with you in the job interview. You're more talented than you probably give yourself credit for. Can't wait to see you again? Murder mystery or pennies anyone?

Amy-Damn you. Here I think I have the worst Christmas and you gotta top me. Ass. Sorry to hear about your family. I hope everything goes better from now on. Good to hear from you again. You still working at that one job?

Take care and for those of you still on break...have a good time!
